ADVANCED DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS

Interactive Communications: The communication program is a multimedia presentation that uses graphics, animation and morphing to educate our patients during their initial exam. We have found combining a verbal message with powerful visuals provides an educational and effective understanding of orthodontic concepts and various modalities of treatment.

Dolphin Imaging Program: Dolphin Imaging, the most advanced radiographic computer technology, is a powerful tool we use to capture a digital image of your face, dentition and radiographs. During the initial exam, your pictures and radiographs are instantly projected on a computer screen to enhance your understanding and visualization of your individual orthodontic situation. Dr. Brown uses this technology to accurately assess your orthodontic diagnosis and confirm a mode of treatment.

UP-TO-DATE STERILIZATION SYSTEMS
When you visit our office, you can relax knowing that the safety of our patients is a primary concern. Our sterilization techniques and barrier controls are designed to meet and exceed all guidelines established by OSHA and the CDC. Our instruments are dry-heat sterilized between every patient. Single-use/disposable items are used whenever possible and discarded after each use, and an independent outside biological monitoring service verifies our sterilization techniques. You can relax and rest assured that everything is clean/sterile in our office.


STATE-OF-THE-ART APPLIANCE SYSTEMS

Speed Bracket System: Speed brackets are up to three times smaller than standard braces. Their reduced size and height minimizes lip and cheek irritation. In addition, their springs apply a continuous gentle force. This means less discomfort throughout treatment. And because of their size, they are easier to clean around, making them more hygienic than the “tie wing” style brackets.

Ceramic Bracket Systems: GAC Mystique Ceramic Brackets, developed by GAC, are clear brackets that are virtually invisible for our patients who are concerned about aesthetics during their orthodontic care.

Nickel-Titanium Archwires: These wires were developed for the space program but have been very effective for orthodontic use. Nickel-Titanium wires create a continuous light force during orthodontic movement, enabling teeth to move faster and more effectively with less discomfort to our patients than stainless steel wires. The result is shorter, predictable treatment times and reduced adjustment appointments to achieve our treatment goals.

Herbst Appliance: This appliance has been very effective in promoting lower jaw growth in pubertal adolescents and can prevent the need for jaw surgery.

The combination of all these advanced appliance system have allowed teeth to move quicker, more predictably with less discomfort resulting in fewer adjustment appointments and shorter treatment times to achieve our treatment objectives


STATE-OF-THE-ART ADHESIVE SYSTEMS:

Transbond Plus: This system is the fastest, most convenient and efficient method you can use to cement a bracket to a tooth. This adhesive is light-activated, which requires a special light to harden the cement. A major advantage to this system over chemical cure is a virtually unlimited working time to precisely place each bracket on a tooth before the cement is set. Proper bracket placement is absolutely essential to achieving an ideal result.

TransbondTM Plus Glass Ionomer Band Cement: Glass Ionomer cement has demonstrated in clinical studies to be the best cement for retention of molar bands. The cement also has the ability to release fluoride for many months, which helps protect a tooth both around and underneath the tooth from decalcification.


RETENTION SYSTEM:

Invisible Retainers: This is a clear plastic retainer that patients wear while sleeping to hold their teeth in the correct position.

Removable Typical Retainers: We have our patients wear the retainer for the first 3 months 24 hours/day and nighttime there after.

OFFICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Dolphin Practice Management System: The Windows-based system assures every patient's visit to our office is efficiently managed from patient sign-in to making an appointment for your next visit.

HouseCalls TM : HouseCalls is an automated computer software program that calls and confirms the night before your orthodontic appointment. We realize that families are very busy, and a little reminder is just another service we provide for our patients.

Appointment Slip: At the time of checkout, each patient will receive an appointment slip as a reminder for his or her next appointment and school excuse.

Automatic Debit: For your convenience, we offer automatic bank draft to simplify monthly fees. This saves you time and eliminates the need for printing, mailing and cost incurred from postage.

Vox On-Hold TM : We also are committed to never leaving our patients on hold for any longer than thirty seconds. However, in the event you are, we have installed an informative message-on-hold system to educate our patients about our orthodontic care.

Electronic Claims: Our practice management system allows us to file your insurance claim electronically via telephone. This is a major benefit to our patients because it allows us to handle your insurance and avoids unnecessary time you would spend mailing forms and consulting with insurance companies.

Patient Sign-in: Our patients are instructed at their first appointment to check-in, brush and immediately seat themselves in our reception area. We know your time is valuable, and it will never be spent waiting for you or your child's adjustment appointment.
